That chart doesn't pass the smell test.

I would love to see a listing by ratio of population to violent crime with a better breakdown.

For example, in Pittsburgh the ratio of #vilolent crimes to population is 0.35%  (less than 3 tenths of a percent).  For Philadelphia it is 0.10%.  That is less mind you.

The property rates are ALSO out of whack

Pittsburgh population 312,179, # property crimes 4,463
# crimes per pop = 1.43%

Philadelphia population 1,435,533, # property crimes 4,305
# crimes per pop = 0.30%

I can vouch from personal expereince, the crime rate in Philadelphia is 10x what it is in Pittsburgh.  This differnce can be seen in the insurance rates.  The differential in reality is STAGGERING, yet you wouldn't guess it from this chart.  Philadelphia is a gun-adverse city by the way.

So by the chart you are looking at approximately 5x the rate of property crime in Pittsburgh... yet when you boil it down to individual rates on individual policies.. Philadelphia's claim rate per population is actually much higher than Pittsburgh.  What gives?

Your District Attorney has a lot to do with the statistics If the DA refuses to prosecute then the crime is not committed per the statisics. We found this out the hard way.
Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.
