Looking at 4x ACOGs   TA31RCO A4 or TA31H Chevron or Horseshoe...I am stuck.

My uninformed opinion is the Chevron is more precise but the Horseshoe would be faster inside 100 yards?

It will be going on a 16 inch barrel if that makes any difference.

Primary use is at the range 100 yards punching paper or plinking jugs.

Thanks!

At 100 yards or less, either one should work fine. I think. But I don't own either, so take that for what it's worth!

I like the triangle and the chevron as you can work off the point of it at distance and use the whole thing for CQB.

Horseshoes have been around a while in USO and IOR scopes. A nice benefit of the horseshoe is  the inside subtends an 8in plate (human head) and is very quick in determing distances, if the lines are to thick as in the IOR it will hide bullets strikes on jugs at 200 yds  and up.

Thanks for your replies.  I ended up with the chevron.  I hope to get to the range this weekend and try it out.
