Hard to replace a voice like that.  Was listening to a bit of history by a stand in on his show and guess who gave him a chance in radio.  Joe Kennedy.  When he started to criticize them, he was shown the door.  Many an afternoon was spent with him adding commentary while driving or eating dinner.  He will be missed.

this story about paul was told to me by my wifes grand pa, and i dont know if its true or not.
years ago paul jr. was filling in for paul sr and paul jr. went on a rant about how bad trapping was. when paul sr. heard it he was outraged, apparently paul sr. spent many years growing up trapping animals. supposedly he even bought his first vehicle with trapping money. when paul sr returned to work he confronted paul jr. and let him know he wasnt happy with his bash on trapping. he told his son that he grew up trapping etc. and he had never told his son about it. and i guess paul jr. ended up making a public apology on air the next day.

once again i dont know if its true or not. but it wouldnt surprise me. class act, he gave continuously to kids charities i know that for sure.
