This was how my day started.  Just got to work with 5 inches of fresh super wet heavy snow.  Just started to shovel off my trailer when I heard the boom and felt the shock wave.  The natural instinct was to look for my gun and cover.  Then it clicked that I wasn't in the military.  This is what happened.  Make sure you watch the helicopter footage.

Our main office is three blocks away.  I was at our other yard 1/2 mile away and it shook the ground there and the shock wave could be felt there.  Have felt a thump or seen an explosion like that since the Marines.

Wow, it is so fortunate that no one was killed or hurt.  I am certainly glad no one did.

I am praying no one did.  But I am afraid that at least one did.

Hard to tell from the look of the damage.  Gas leak? Im guessing.

It was a gas leak.  They are searching the rubble today for the missing person.  They are going to reconstruct what they can (not much left) to see what happened.  They keep reporting that it was the Boodles restaurant that blew up, but from the photos, it looks to me like the concentration of it can out of the art gallery.  Just my opinion.  Hard to tell at this point.

Yeah, it is a sad deal.  I didn't know her, but everyone that did said she was an amazing person.  Feel bad for her husband.  I don't think they had been married that long either.  No kids anyway.

No word yet on the cause, but they are pretty sure it was a gas leak.  People had complained about smelling gas there before.  And even that morning there were people that left in other buildings because of smelling gas.  It is a miracle that only one person was killed.
