Has anyone had a chance to look through these yet? If you have, how do they compare with the top of the line binoculars?

They look great. First impressions make me think that they are the best bin available for $1,000.

I have not had the chance to look through these yet because they have not found there way to my local Sportsman's Warehouse. I did notice that they do in fact cost $1000 and the new Leupold Gold Rings (which I also have not yet seen) can be had from various places for around $800. It makes me wonder what (if anything) the Elites will have that justifies the extra cost.
I love Bushnell products in general and so I don't have any qualms about quality, but I wouldn't buy the new Elites until I had a chance to compare them to the Leupolds.

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

The new Elites are indeed a nice bino, but $1000 seems a little steep. I think I would just pay the extra $500 or so for a pair of Euro binos before I would pay that much for a Bushnell. JMHO

Sniper, where did you get a chance to look through the new Elites? What other bino's did you compare them to within a similar price range. What bino's would you say they compare to that you have looked through , outdoors not in a store, of course. Thanks in advance. I can't wait to get my hands on a pair to make some field caparisons.

I looked through them about a month ago at Cabelas in Mich. after I finished comparing the Leica Ultravid's, Swarovski EL's and Zeiss Victory FL's. I didn't include the Elites or the Nikon LXL's in my comparisons only because they didn't have the field of view that I was looking for. These were all 8x42 models. The view through them was very good, of course I was inside the store but they were very bright and clear.

The body style looks similar to the Swarovski El's. If the optics are similar it would be worth the $1,000 price tag.

To Ranburr, I thnk I am slowly chipping away at you towards the top of the line Elite products. This is a good thing. On another note, I got a chance to look through a Kahles 3-9x42, outside of course, and while I'll say the wasw everything Chris and Brady said it was I have to be honest that to me I really couldn't justify the cost difference. I liked the TDS reticle and as said the optics where fantastic, I still the same way about my Elite 4200's as you feel about the Conquest 3-9. The fact that the Elite has the Rainguard coatings and the FireFly just seals the deal on my end. I hope all is well with you.

Good to see you back Roy. I guess you have slowly eroded my resistance towards the Elite series. I really liked the binos.
