Well,

I ordered it from SWFA sample list on Thursday the 5th and it was at my house on Monday the 9th. That is fast service indeed! I was out of town all last week and finally today, I got at chance to do a preliminary mount on my Savage 14 classic 270 WSM.

It fits the DNZ one piece mount on this rifle, but barely. Any less eye relief and the tube would not have been long enough. The front ring is all the the way forward as far as it will go. But, it does fit.  Also, with the included lens cover on there is just enough room between the objective bell and the barrel to slide a dollar bill, but not without a small amount of resistance. The lens cover slightly grabs the bill as you slide it through. I doubt this will present a problem.  I am anxious to get out to the range and get this rifle broken in and scope sighted in.

So far I am impressed with the clarity. It seems brighter and cleaner in alll light conditions than my Conquest 3-9x40, but I have yet to give it a thorough and fair assessment.

Hopefully I can get a few shots off in the morning. I leave town again on Saturday and will be gone for a whole week before I will have another chance to try it out.

Jack

I think you have to get 50 posts before you can post pictures if I am not mistaken....

I too am a Kahles CL 3-10X50 & Conquest 3-9X40 owner and both of these are awesome scopes!   My CL seems to be better in low-light.  Congrats and happy shooting!
