T3 with TR-21R. Just a reference for anyone who's curious what it would look like.

I just set up almost exactly the same thing:  Tikka T3 Hunter, Talley rings, Trijicon 3-9x40.

Mine is actually for my son's birthday, I'll post pics soon.

I had no trouble with the eye relief.  The gun is a .308, it ain't a boomer.  With a magnum, the eye relief might be too short.

Pics coming soon.

.270, I'll get the rail info, almost too much eye relief. I had to Dremel off the first two sets of lugs on the mount to get the scope far enough forward. I didn't want to use higher rings. The rings are cheap but are the lowest I could find @ around .168. I'll probably cut off the end of the rail to mach the receiver. That overhang is buggin' me.

that's what I was getting at, the 1.25-4 requires a lot of eye relief
you will see it mounted on ARs and needing to use the extended eye relief mounts

What base are you using with your Tikka?

I currently have the factory rings on my Tikka .270 WSM laminate.

Beware, the factory rings suck when shooting anything with recoil, and 270 has some.

I'd dump those and get something that will not fail at the worst possible time.  My luck with Tikka factory rings (on my 4th Tikka now) has been terrible.

If I knew what base that was I would switch out the rings....

Any suggestions for better rings on a Tikka?  I am open for suggestions....

My recommendation is the same, Talley rings are great!

I had to cut the factory Tikka rings off with a grinder. Locked on tight!
