I want to upgrade some of my riflescopes.  I want to first start by changing the Leupold 4.5-14x50 Vari-III on my .300 Win. Magnum.  After reading many posts over the last several months I finally have it out of my head that I need to mount a telescope (6-24x50) on my rifle for hunting.

As I reviewed many posts I believe I would like to buy a Kahles MultiZero for the .300. It appears the sample list has some good deals right now.  I'm having a tough time trying to decide between two scopes.  Could I get your inputs?

8259 Kahles 2.5-10x50 Helia CS Multizero 51825, Matte finish, 30mm tube, plex reticle, fast focus eye piece, allows you to zero your scope at five different ranges, close to new condition. $1,879.00 $999.95
8707 Kahles 4-12x52 Helia CL Multizero 51733, Matte finish, plex reticle, 1" tube, side focus, fast focus eye piece, allows you to zero your scope at five different ranges, close to new condition. $1,392.00 $999.95

I prefer the 30mm tube.

For a 300WM, I think I'd go with the 30mm.  Seems they are built a little tougher.  Also, I think 50mm is as big as I'd go with the objective bell!  Which rifle and model of 300WM do you have?

FWIW, I have a Kahles CL 3-10X50 mounted on my BAR 30-06 and its amazing!  I also have a 2-7X36 CL mulitzero on a 700 mtn LSS in .260 and I think I'm going to really like it as well.

+1 on what Tip and Cyborg said.

A side focus on a 4-12 variable is not really needed; 14 or above I would say yes.

Although I'm OK with 1" I prefer the 30mm tubes, BTW those are good prices!

The 30mm tube is a better deal.

I have a Browning A-Bolt II with the BOSS.  I was leaning towards the 30mm prior to posting.  I appreciate your responses.
