I really couldn't tell if the rear is taller than the front on my setup, and I'm not about to take it apart to check. I just finished sighting it in and it was a b*tch. These light Kimbers are very fussy on the bench.

Yes it is friction tape.
Guess I didn´t need it, but it lay there handy on the work bench so I just put it on.
Keep a snug fit, that´s for shure, but I should have trimmed the exess off.
Looks like a ladys petti coat showing beneath the hem of the skirt
