I am thinking of either the talley lightweight or dednutz.  I will be using a vx-iii 40mm so which heighth should I get since it seems like they all vary a little I was going to get lows.

will the bridge on the dednutz get in the way of loading?

on the talleys should I get the extended?  I may go to plan b which is a nikon monarch ucc since it is a 12 power if so I think "I need the extra play.  will the dednutz provide enough play?

Yes, m700, Talley extended front base when using the fixed, screw lock or QD's.
