Well that's disappointing to hear.  Thanks for the review.

Sako, does that have the fast focus ocular or the older design?

It's fast focus, with a more coarse pitch thread, except that the whole ocular rotates and it has the lock ring.  So externally, it looks just like the traditional slow focus eyepiece design, except with fast focus thread.

i just looked through the VX3 again and it really is a sharp clear picture edge to edge....

One thing i noticed is do to the smaller ocular the image in a leupold is not as "big" as that in a conquest
That is probably a good thing for certain applications where the tolerances are too tight with the bolt handle.

Cool.  Sounds like they kept all the good stuff and added some innovations and upgraded the glass.  It ought to be a winner!  Real gold on ring and medallion , too, I hear.  Like one used to be able to order from the Custom Shop. Is that correct?

And Diamond Coat or something on the exterior lenses....since the price has not tripled, it sounds as if Leupold has really done a good job!!

How do you insert someones post into yours like Ted did above?

Click on the quote button on the upper RH side of the box containing the post you wish to quote.

Then start typing after the "[/QUOTE]," not before.

Thanks that will make some answers to posts a bit clearer if everyone knows what I'm talking about.
