Howdy, me too!  Anual review time!  I hate self assessments!  If your honest and grade yourself tough then you just screwed yourself.  If you totally pimp yourself youget that extra nickle!  They can take the nickle and.....

We have that in July every year, we review ourselves and then give that to our manager who then uses it to do her own review of our work, I found if I under grade myself then they see that the extra we do is just our "moral character" coming out and bump the nickel! Play the system sometimes you know!  maybe you can get a dime! Laugh

I'm of the opinion that practically any job these days is a good job.  Sad

Yeah Julio it is a good job I really enjoy!  Several are afraid of the pending changes when the new regime takes over!

Got to agree with you Billy, now a days...any job is a good job.  Son-in-law got laid off last week, no notice , no severance!

That sucks..... I've been out of work for over a year now. Finding anything I'm qualified to do is a pain in the arse. Used to be, I'd get job offers three or four a week. Now that I need a job, nothing. Kinda like being single, when you have no girl friend not a one seems to give you a second look. Soon as you do have one, you gotta beat them off with a stick.

Yep, The wife and I are very fortunate as well. She has a great new job, I enjoy what I do as well. I did nothing to deserve all the good things I have today .

I gotta get ready, back later

Bridge certified.

Probably don't want to hearit but maryland has some of het best orads in the nation.
Just about the time they deteriorate to he level of PA's best roads MD will plane off a couple of layers and repave!  Seems like the major interstates get retopped annually, in truth I think it is bi-annual resurfacing.  Gotta be jobs in Maryland!

Billy,
You should come out and check out Oregon and Washington. Or do it online, here in the NW they are building new roads, resurfacing all the time. You might wanna look into it anyway. I was in the Teamsters and Laborers both for years when I was younger...Now Im just a poor meek little engraver, heavy sigh!Sad

In defence of the three guys standing around while one digs the hole, and having some experience with a shovel. They're taking turns, we just don't see them change out. Oh! I almost forgot, one guy never gets in the hole; he's the supervisor.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Yeah, because if the supervisor got in the hole, the other three guys would quickly fill it up!  lol :)
