i think the Conquest will be the scope and ill put target knobs on it by next year

You will not regret buying the Conquest I love mine but you might want to wait a bit to see what the new Leupold VX3 looks like and if it is priced reasonably.

I actually have a 300 WSM as well (Savage Model 12). I bought it in July 2004 and put a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50 on it. That's the only scope that has been or ever will be on it.
I have no experience with the 4200, but I compared the clarity of my Conquest to my bud's Monarch 6.5-20x50 and Leupold (I think VX-III) 4.5-14x50, and the Conquest definitely seemed clearer and brighter, and he agreed. |
