Okay well i was just wondering on how good the zeiss conquest is, so if you had the money to get one but didnt really want to spend that much on a scope but you would if its really worth it. Or would something like the 4200 compair to it for a fraction of the price, Thanks for your oppnion Big Smile

The 4200 is a very good scope but I chose a 3.5-10x44 Conquest for my 300 WSM and am very Happy with it. It's very clear and I like the etched reticle.

Conquest - pros:  great glass, etched reticle, eye relief, good warranty and CS.

4200 - pros: good glass, rainguard, tough scope, good price.

I say go with the Conquest but the alot of people like their 4200's.

Will never look back after using mine. The 4200's are nice, but I'll still take a Conquest.

I have the Zeiss Conquest 3-9X40 on my 7MM-08 Browning and love it. Took me a while to decide on this scope, but once I bought it, I would never look back again. Optics are excellent. Glass is super clear and crisp.

I have a 4200 and a conquest, both 3-9X40s and I think the Conquest is well worth the extra $$.  The eye relief and reticle alone is worth the difference!

take em!

Zeiss Conquest: Pros - Great glass, sexy coal black sharp reticle, well built, Terrific value

Cons - Some people think that because they weigh several OUNCES more than a Leupold, then they are just WAY to heavy.

Although the Conquest line is a bit heavier than Leupold they are not a heavy scope.

I think a conquest with the target knobs to dial in correction would be a nice choice.  I know I would want Kenton knobs on the scope but I cant decide which of their reticles I like best. I dont think the scopes have as much internal adjustment as my Leupolds so I dont know if they would work out with my plus 30 moa base.
