I'm interested in learning about the practice of bore sighting to zero-in a scope.
What makes or types are useful?
Can the bore sighter be used for iron, optical and dot scopes?
Any help would be appreciated, I can't find any reference to bore sighting in the forum.

I've never used one on a handgun, but you should be able to use the laser type that fits in the bore to roughly align any kind of sight.  I've never had much use for them.  On my handguns I've always been able to mount the scope, shoot it first at about 15 yards, then go from there.

I have a Laserlyte bore sighter that I use for my handguns. I'm very satisfied about it. It's very accurate and easy to use. I got it from competitor .

If you plan to use it to with rifles and targets farter than 50yards I'd reccomend the green laser version.

I usually try to shoot targets that don't fart.  Shocked
