Hi all,
I am looking to mount the eotech 511 on my remington 870 express super magnum 12 gauge. I have called a few places for availability and was told to check back around Jan 30th for availability. I am wanting the realtree camo model. I also inquired as to what mount I would need for this particular sight. I was told three different b-square saddle mounts:  b-square 16800; b-square 16801 and b-square 16812. Can anyone with knowledge of the eotech sight and my model remington shed some light as to which mount I will need?

Thanks,
rhett

If I might recommend something else I would suggest that the battery life of an EOTech is fairly short where the battery life of an Aimpoint is quite long.  For your purpose I would rather have the aimpoint even though the field of view is not as wide.

Thanks for the info and, no, the receiver is not drilled and tapped. If I were to go with the aimpoint, would I need the drill and tap work?

The Aimpoint mounts the same way the Eotech does so you could mount it on the same saddle mount's you were already looking at. You wouldn't have to drill and tap your receiver unless you just prefered that set-up

+1 for Aimpoint over EO-Tech.

I have the B-Square saddle mount and EOTech 511 on my Benelli SBE shotgun, and the combination works quite well!  The saddle mount provides a standard picatinny rail that allows the mounting of almost any sight you can think of.  It's easy to install; you just drive out the trigger assy pins on your shotgun and replace with the screws provided with the mount.
