Another vote for the Sako 85 Finnlight. It's a very nice rifle, especially if your carrying it all day long.

I'll take a Sako over the Browning, though pyro is correct you'll pay 1.5x more.

i have no doubt that the browning will shoot just as well as the sako, i havent met a browning bolt that didnt shoot well. the sako is pretty nice, hard to get much better without going to a custom, like a cooper 52

I like the Sako better, thinking about one for myself. I just wish the Sako was available with a nice fiberglass stock instead of plastic, especially for the kind of money the 85 demands. |

I would go with the finlight. Sako usually has better barrels than Browning. Plus they gaurantee their accuracy. Build quality should be close, and Sako's have smoother bolts.

Just be aware that any kind of service through Beretta is absolutely horrible, this is with my own personal experience with my 92 plus the problems my friend is currently having with his new Tikka. Their poor service has been discussed many times on the net as well. Will this stop me from buying a Sako? Definitely not, but its just something to keep in mind. |

They are a bit more even price here in Australia but i would still go for the X-Bolt, certainly nothing wrong with the Sako though,
which ever floats your boat more |

My vote on the Sako. Smooth bolt action. Excellent trigger and decent barrel.

Thanks everyone. I would rather get the Finnlight, but I do not know if I want to spend the extra $300.

I know everyone was for the Finnlight, but I could not find one under $1300. I did however find a X-bolt for under $800 so thats what I went with. I just couldn't justifing spending almost double. Can't wait for the Kahles AH 3x9x42 to be put on. I will post pics when I get it all set up.

Own both. Great guns, great accuracy and performance. For the difference in price, which is 2X down where I live, I would go with the X-Bolt. The Sako is probably a little better but you could use the difference to buy a decent scope.
