I recently bought a Remington model 7 predator in .204 Ruger.  The gun wouldn't stabilize 40 gr. ammo with 40 gr. Hornadys the gun would keyhole 5 shot 2 inch groups at 50 yards.  32 gr. Hornady ammo shot very well.  Also, the bolt face had burrs on it causing the bolt to close OK sometimes and not at all othertimes.  I was able to return the gun to Cabelas and get my money back.  I really liked the wt. and feel of the gun.  I was hoping to get some positive feedback on the .204 predator and them I would purchace another.

Very true.

My father-in-law recently bought a Rem 700 sps in 270 wsm, it's very accurate. A couple other guys at the camp have 700 sps's too and they're all very happy with them.

Dont know much about the model 7, im more of a model 700 guy. Love the 700's!

What I do know about the .204 is its undergunned for coyotes from what ive seen. 3 solid hits at 100-150 yards and three runners. Luckily my 250 was there for 2 of em.

From what ive heard, most guys are having better luck with the 40 grain bullets.

Ordered a 700CDL 270 and picked it up last week. The floorplate is light and cheap, and when you look at it from the side its bowed outward in the center.  When you load it it makes it worse. Sending it back to remington. but not very happy with the quality. I agree something is amiss.

I've got an SPS Varmint and it shoots nice little groups.  My 40gr. groups aren't as good as the pic but were still under 1"
