I went to my somewhat local Sports shop for a little hands on the different scopes yesterday and did a little looking through the glass to see the differences. I was told that the new Monarch is actually an improved UCC model.
I did like the way the Monarch 2-8X32 looks. It was very crisp and clear.
I am now waiting to see if SWFA will do a trade-in for me on my Swift.
At least I will have one Zeiss Conquest on one rifle, and one Nikon Monarch on the other rifle to tell the calibers apart!

I have the Swift Premier model 658M Matte Black. It is the 2-7X40 with Butler Creek Flip Up covers on it.
I was happy with this scope on my other .308 before trading the BAR. I guess I was just looking for an excuse to put a new scope on a new rifle! I talked myself into buying a new one. Edited by frankb - January/01/2009 at 08:41 |
