Well, one of my hunting buddies shot this out of my stand yesterday morning... while I was at work...

Hey Ted,

Could I borrow your stand for a couple of days next year?  Laugh
Sounds like it must be in a good location.   Hope your luck changes and you get the next one.

Well, he didn't do anything wrong, technically.  We have a rule on our hunting lease that anyone can hunt in anyone else's blinds/stands as long as the owner isn't hunting them that day.  I don't blame him for anything, because I hunt the other guys' stands too.  The annoying thing about this, though, is 2 years ago, one of the guys shot a 140 class 11-point from another of my blinds.  Again, this was while I was at work, and it was the first time he had been out hunting for the season.  He even fell asleep in the blind, woke up, saw the buck, shot it, then went home.  Then last year, yet another guy in our group shot a buck about like the one above from the same blind.  I was there at the time, but had already killed my buck for the season.  Yet another guy shot at and missed (bullet hit a tree limb) another nice buck from yet another of one of my tree stands.

I'm not giving up hope yet.  The season ends Sunday, and I'm leaving work now to head out there.  I'll be hunting hard the next 4 days.

Just wanted to share my hard luck with you.Bucky
Ted

It is worth noting, however that of the 14 stands/blinds on our hunting lease EVERY respectable buck that has been shot off the property since we've been leasing it have all come from 2 stands that I found the location for, built, and setup!  Coincidence?  I think not!!!

I tried to warn you about eating Messican food and sitting on the green pickle bucket Ted. I see that atleast your hunting buddy learned from my misfortune.

Oh man. Ted has the setup right there. He has a hunting lease with 14 stands on it, and even someone to shoot his deer for him when he has to work. What a lucky guy. I have to go shoot my own. In the cold.Big Smile

Ted I envy you. You above everyone have got it made. It's nice to know that you can afford to have someone to do your hunting for you.
