yeah the sun came out and it warmed up but it was damn cold last night and into this morning. you can hear the house pop and crack and sometimes as night when the house is totally quite i can hear the trees in my yard pop, and if its cold and no wind you can hear the lake talking (making ice)

its wasnt real cold when i went to bed but it got colder over night

I don't even bother plugging in my truck till it is about -10.  And that is just so it will start easier.  I have had it start at -35 unpluged.  Diesels are a bit more finicky I guess.

By that point, I just leave my diesels running all night.

Two 1000 cold cranking amp batteries helps a lot. Ha Ha. But I don't have a diesel.

sometimes thats what it takes, but even then a diesel can gel up, thats where power service comes in handy.

We have parked all our trucks nose to nose in a row to keep them warmer.  Seems to help.  At -50 though I think I will just stay inside.
