Did your scope move under recoil or did you move it?

Looks like the scope moved under recoil, make sure your rings are snug.

I have two sets of TPS rings. Both are have held scopes, neither has even left a scuff mark, let alone anything close to those marks in the pics.

Did you mount them "correctly"? If you'll look at the inside of the two ring halfs, you'll notice a small indentations, or slots on one side.
You MUST put them together with the top indentations matching the bottoms.

There is a product out there called 3M Spray Adheasive that you can get in most any hardware store. Spray the inside of the rings, let dry and remount the scope. It will help eliminate ring marks and your scope will never slip again. Same concept was used years ago by Buehler and it worked great.

yep they were indexed correctly with the marks on the same side. I dont know why it moved so badly, i guess i undertorqued the screws or something. it just sucks that the first day out my scope gets marred up. At least it wasn't a high dollar optic though

I have been using the Burris Signature Zee rings for several years.  One of the advantages to these rings is you never see what you are showing.  I hope you can get them cleaned up.  Good Luck
