Or I really should say blowed in.  It dumped a foot on Christmas.  Then last night the wind started howling.  The v-plow punched a hole through a couple hours ago, but the trench is now filled in about 4 feet deep.  Not sure when we will get out.  Will not be till at least noon tomorrow, but most likely not till Tuesday some time.

Here are a few pics of our winter wonder land.

Pretty, pretty cold that is.

Now what do you have against snow?  It is great to live in.

Andy, James,
I use to work on the Thiokols at the top  of the notch at Baldy.  Andy you wouldn't know where that is but James would.  Rode a 55' panhead up there most days.  Years ago.  Snow is great to play in, but much less to actual have to live in.

Edited for spell police.

I will admit that working in it sucks at times.  -20 for a week or two gets old.  But I would rather be in this than 100 degree heat.  Living in it isn't too bad.  Playing and hunting in it is the best part.

I do work out (up to 16 hours) in it every day, so I know what that is like.  And I guide in it every year.  I still would not want to move to where there are no mountains and no snow.

It wasn't anything special.  It was a basket case chopper that you took your life in your hands riding from Hacienda Heights to Mt. Baldy.  I had to get rid of the springer and ape hangers the guy had on it before it was actually ok to ride.

Thats not snowed in. That is a light dusting. Very nice. How far do you drive to the mill. I don't see any trees around there.

I will try to get a pic as we bust out tomorrow.  It really is more of a dusting.  A foot isn't that much.  It was the wind that was killer.  Blowing 20 to 30 mph.  It drifted the road four or five feet deep.  So many of them in a row you can't keep enough momentum in a truck to bust through.  We will be digging out in the morning with the tractors.

The county made one pass with a v-plow on a grater and gave up.  All he did was cut a big trench that the snow filled in.  He actually made it worse.  A newbie driver we are guessing.  So we are going to dig out ourselves.  We are kinda at the end of the gravel road out here.

I drive about 20 miles to the yard.  The drifts are only for the first 2 miles.

Being snowed in on the prairie is really better [ safer, I guess I mean ] than being socked in with a snowstorm in a big city with 900 million jerk drivers that don't know how to drive on a sunny day in July-- let alone ice and snow.

Kinda hard to keep up with the wind when it's blowing it all back in as quick as you can clear it!!  Do you have any stock out there that needs to be fed??
