There are just too many diferent scopes that i can put on my savage 300 WSM, i want something for about $300 or under with 3-9x, i would like it to be silver but not a necessity.  I heard a lot about the bushnell 4200. And about the team primos but none of them come in silver that are in my price range.  It wouldnt look as good if it wasnt in silver but as long as it will help me kill more deer then i wont be complaining one bit. So if you have any suggestions on a scope that i should put on it then please let me know.  I will be really thankfull.

Pretty tough for me between the Team Primos and 4200. I lean towards the Primos, because I like BDC reticles. If I didn't want that reticle, then 4200. I also think matte black scopes look better on stainless rifles. Especially with a synthetic black stock.

the 4200 has rainguard and better cs dept if you need it. i honestly cant tell any notable difference between them, i like the added eye relief of the primos for my bench work, doesnt matter a lot in the field. black scopes on stainless rifles look fine.

Another vote here for matte black on stainless.  The silver scopes rarely match the stainless color anyway.

The VXII is not comparable to the others.  It does not even have a 1 piece tube.  Even a $40 Tasco has a 1 piece tube.  THe VXIII is comparable to the 4200 but priced higher.  I'd go for the 4200 as the best of the options you offered.  THE Nikon is good too if the BDC reticle is for you.

4200 ..Admittedly I have a couple Monarchs and they are optically really really close, but after dealing with Nikon's customer service ( + the rainguard can be a hunt saver) ,,go with the 4200

That looks good! Dump the silver idea! A black stock, stainless barrel with black bases and rings along with a matte scope looks better than a silver scope would anyway. Too hard to match a silver scope to the barrel and your scope selection is greatly increased by sticking with black.

Per the advice given here I went with the 4200 on my Winchester model 70 black comp/SS .270. I'm very satisfied and it also looks great.

I had looked at several satin scopes and they all had a different tint to them and then throw in the rings tone and you could have realy ended up with many different tints.

+1, they are excellent scopes for the money.  I like both of mine very well.

I have the Sightron SII and Sightron SII Big Sky 3-9x42 in the stainless finish.I would say the finish on the Sightron is the best in the business. You can buy the SII at around $200.00 while the Big Sky is over the $300.00 mark. The optics are excellent also a lifetime warranty  with top notch customer service.
