Hi everyone, my name is Fabian and I was wondering where is the Gloss version of the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 w/Ballistic Plex into the site, cause it does appear in the SWFA Catalag with the code 200166 but I cant find it in the site, only the Matte one. I think the Gloss version fits perfectly my Winchester 70 in .308, better than the Matte one, so any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Fabian. |

Hi Martin and thanks for the reply, but I forgot to mention that I live in Argentina and I'm pretty short on my oral English. I dont buy the scope directly to SWFA neither cause of the US legislation to export them so I have to buy it through a local dealer that imports scopes (not a brand in special) and I have to give him the code number so he can buy it once there. I would love to get a better one but the cheapest price I can get for any scope is the double of the price that SWFA has, it sucks but it's that or nothing. Thanks again. Fabian. |

Fabian,if I understand right, the 3-9x40 Burris FFII w/BP is about what you can afford. Well,if that's true I wouldn't be too disappointed. I developed loads for two rifles this past summer that had those exact scopes mounted and can tell you that they were both VERY clear, had decent eye relief, and tracked perfectly. As far as durability goes Burris FFII's seem to be fairly popular in Alaska because of their durability. Hope this helps ya.

Thanks a lot for the reply 300S&W, I have read lots of post in this great forum before chosing between this one and the Leupold VX-II, but the price of the Leupold was just too much for me. Everyone say this is a great scope and seems to have some good things over the Leupold, the bad ones doesnt bother me at all, so I'm pretty exited with it. Thanks again for your opinion, now I'm more excited haha, I only hope to find the gloss version, I just love it. Fabian. |

So you would rather have the VXII? Well,I've got a 3-9x40 VXII and will tell you that "in my opinion" you'll get a scope as good and at a better price in that Burris. GOOD LUCK to ya!

Well I was gonna get the VXII at the beggining but the price with the dollar exchange was pretty high, although I'm not dissapointed with my decision since lots of ppl tell me the Burris is a great scope and yeah, at a better price!

Can your local dealer get scopes from any other U.S. dealers? I checked another site and saw the scope you want in stock.

Yay!!! I found it in other sites as you mentioned 300S&W but the problem was my local dealer until I found one with free USP in the States and convinced him to mantain the price haha, so I'll be getting it in a week or two! Here is a pic of how it will fit on my rifle: Thanks for all the replies! Have a great New Year! |
