I bought a pair of Leupold Pinnacles not too long ago, 8X42. They didn't seem as sharp as I would expect, and had a tight focusing wheel. I sent them back to Leupold last week. Today I got a brand new pair. No questions, etc. It doesn't get any better than that.

Leupold does set THE standard for many things, their customer service is by far the absolute best in the industry.

The only other experiences I've had were with Burris (sent a scope back because it was really blurry, they sent it back and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it) and Nikon (sent a scope for repair, finally got it back, but it took a LONG time).

I've tested the CS from both Leupold and Swarovski a few times. I would
say that their both about equal. Leupold's staff is much more technical
but Swaro's folks go the extra mile in a lot more ways. Both will
either repair or replace your equipment no questions asked. The Leupold
warranty is better, "full lifetime", Swaro is usually "full lifetime on
the optics and 10 years on everything else" but in my experience they
treated the entire product as if were covered by a "lifetime warranty".
The turn around time for both is lightning fast. Swaro, being on the
East Coast, will get the product back to me just as fast as Leupold who
is two states away from me.
I've only had one scope ever break, a Bushnell, because the reticle fell apart and a few weeks later I received a brand new replacement for free. |
