FYI, there is an interesting article about the new 375 Ruger in the January issue of "Rifle" magazine. In the article author Phil Shoemaker predicts that in time the new 375 Ruger cartridge is likely to supplant the 375 H&H for the same reason that the 300 Win Mag supplanted the 300 H&H |

It certainly ought to open up the market. This will allow more manufacturers to produce a .375 at a reasonable price.

Options are always good, especially if they are affordable.

The thing in the article that really got my interest was the author's claim that both the rifle and cartridge have really taken off in Alaska where he and his daughter both guide and hunt.

Traditions or "traditional" has real meaning when it comes to personal values, morals, principles, founding principles, design in building and housing architecture, furniture and decoration styles, auto styles; etc and etc!
But tradition in a rifle cartridge???..... FOOOEY!....... I`ll buck popular tradition and take a 21st century designed casing technology which is better, is better looking, is more efficient and is ballistically better! Why carry around a 46 !/2" long H&H rifle, when one can carry around a 40 3/4" to 43" rifle and get the same ballistic performance or better with the same accuracy?!
375 Ruger factory ammo availability, from Hornady`s worldwide on-going marketing program, should also be a non-issue!
