I am just curious why the company comes out this odd ball number 43mm for objective lens size. I am comfortably happy with 32mm, 42mm, and 50mm. But why 43mm? Another item for change during the election year?

You're comfortable with 32 in a compact glass but, what about 30mm, 33mm, or 36mm? Then of course, there are the 20, 22, 25, 26, and 28mm sub-compact glass options. Full size glass can be had in 40, 42, 43, 44, and 45mm. "Big-eyes" level glass comes in 50, 51, 56, 60, 70, 80, and 100mm. I'm sure I may have missed one or more.
So you see, binoculars are not as standardized as you might have been led to suspect. Why do manufacturers do this? I suspect it has more to do with having a product that in some small way "stands out from the crowd" more than anything else.

If you look at the numbers having a 43mm objective over a 42mm objective will give you a larger exit pupil. If it is a toss up well???

Lucznik, it seems to be the case. To differentiate one brand from another. It is probably like 8.5 or 10.5x magnification. I am not sure how 0.5x extra power will help us in real world. But the numbers do set them apart from others.
