I just bought a kimber 84m and a bushnell elite 4200 2.5-10x40. I also bought the kimber scalloped base set. I was wondering what rings I should use? I'm new to buying base sets for scopes(newb)... Since I recieved so much info on this site for buying my scope, I figured someone could help me with this?

Well, low rings ought to work. I am not familiar with the Kimber bases....are they like Leupold bases? I would get the Burris signature rings to go on them if they are the typical turn-in type bases.

+1. I have not owned a Kimber but I think they have the same conture as a Cooper, the Low should work.

Welcome, Jay! If you already bought the Kimber scalloped bases, they use standard dovetail front ("turn-in") / windage screw rear rings available from Leupold or Burris. Medium height rings will definitely work with a 40mm objective scope, and maybe even low rings, depending on the height of your bases.

Lows with 40mm should be the ticket.
