I will be getting a Stag model 6 delivered within the next couple of weeks, and I'm looking for a scope for it. I'm a bit partial to Leupold scopes, but I have an open mind. The budget will be up to $500. I'd prefer to stay with a scop with the objective being at most 44mm, no bigger. The largest practical power I would want is 20x. What does everyone suggest? For the time being, it will be used for target shooting out to about 300 yards.

I have a Stag 6L and mounted a Sightron SII 4.5-14x42 with the HHR reticle. Check the reviews section for my review of the scope and it's results on the gun. I don't regret for a second getting that scope! It's a good deal and works well in my experience out to 300 yards.

I will say, the Super Sniper is a great buy.
As a side note. A very good friend recommended the Nikon Team Primos it has a BDC reticle and, after doing some research, I actually went up a few notches and got the X line Monarch.
The Team Primos has the same glass and coatings, so I'll say this. GET IT, you'll be very surprised.
If you want a "CRAZY TOUGH" scope, get the SS.
