That's a matter of how much you are willing to pay for tooling to do that.

If they make an SS with Mil-based turrets, I am in.  I generally find the whole deal with mil-based reticles and MOA based knobs that is so common on tactical scopes to be very odd.  It makes no sense.  Either have both the reticle and the knobs based on MOA or on mils.

Couldn't agree more, with a mil reticule, and mil knobs correcting shot placement it easier for spotter to relay the info to the shooter.  Example:
Spotter:
.75 mil low, 1 mil right

Shooter dials:

.75 mil up
1mil left

What???   I would lots rather have to think really hard and figure out some math and do conversions than just be able to dial in an easy correction.  Isn't that right Optimus?  Some of us like to work harder not smarter.

I'm sorry, were you actually trying to contribute something of interest or was this just a piss poor attempt at humor? It's hard to tell the difference with you.

Why aren't the DM's in combat petitioning SWFA for mil turrets I wonder??  Whatever

I generally don't mind the math, although easier is always better.

Probably cause the Marines are buying them Schmidt and Benders that are already in Mil/Mil configuration.  I am sure the army will be following shortly.

First, whose to say that the Army has not been petitioning us for mil/mil and whose to say that they don't already have them????

The USMC SSDS contract is not a large contract, that is why they can afford to put S&B's on their weapons.  The contract will most likely be moving from S&B to Premier soon.  These $2k and $3k dollar scopes will never see service in large numbers with the Army.

I wasn't necessarily meaning S&Bs, just a mil/mil scope of some make.  Since about everyone is making them now it only makes sense.

Thats cool, a SS in Mil turrets  Thunbs%20Up
