Has anyone used this scope?  what did you think of it?  Any other suggestions for this rifle i want something in the 2-7 power range, lightweight, under 300$.

One more question. I will be using this scope for some night time coyote calling, so i want a reticle with thicker lines that will be easier to see at night.  How thick are the lines on the Sightron Plex reticle? What other scope makers have a scope that would fit this bill?

You may want to consider a bigger objective than 32mm for night hunting. I'd probably opt for a 50mm objective in that case.

I think Sightrons Hunter Holdover reticle is thicker than the plex.

If you can afford it, this would be the one to get for night time coyote hunting.

I just put a Sightron SII 4.5-14x42 with a HHR on my 223.  I hope to have it out tomorrow to check out the scope and review it...

Leupold VX-I 2-7 shotgun scope has a heavy duplex.
Bushnell makes a 3200 in 3-9 and something like a 1.5-4.5, both with a glow-in-the-dark firefly reticle.

Please let me know when you conclude your review, Sir. I don't think I've seen a review on the HHR and I'm most interested.
Thank you!

I bought a 2.5-10x32 Sightorn for a friend a little while back.  It is a nice little scope and should work well on an AR.

cheaptrick,

The posts are thicker than the std duplex on my SII 1.5-6x42.  I hope to do an initial 100 yd sight in tomorrow and a 200-300 yard sight in next weekend.  At first glance, the AO on teh objective bell works well for me being a lefty and a bipod or shooting sticks.  The theory behind the reticle is a zero at 200 yards should put the first mark at 300 and the second at 400.  I will be testing the 300 yard mark next weekend...
