Gentlemen,
I need some help separating fact from fiction. My brother stopped in to the Sportsmans Warehouse in Anchorage to fondle/purchase a set of ELs today.  The salesman said they were sold out and would not be getting anymore in stock. He said that line has been discontinued, but he could still order him  SLCs  if they didn't have what he wanted in stock.
So I'm trying to sort out whether this is a Sportsmans Warehouse decision not to carry the ELs??? Or if Swaro is discontinuing the line?  Or anything else in between.
  What has anybody else heard?
Thanks
Scott

Swarovski is not discontinuing the line.

They are upgrading them with HD glass and so; the non-HD version may not be available for very much longer.

If Sportsman's Warehouse has decided to discontinue carrying the EL [doubtful] then it will be a business decision probably predicated on their failure to sell a sufficient number of them to justify their place on the shelves.  They do, after all, cost more than $2000.
What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

Gentlemen,

Thanks for the responses.  With this information, my guess is that Sportsmans doesn't want to have any(old) ELs left on the shelf when the new version arrives.  I know they took a beating on the leupold GR binocs they had on the shelves when leupold released their newer HD version.
Thanks for your help.
