I have a Remington 700 CDL SF - .30-06
Now I need a scope.
So far most around the area here are pleased with TASCO!!!
I found a few Tasco's that are not too bad, but also Barska's - swat ones, as well as Simmons - Pro hunters. these are running under 325.00...
NOW you have Bushnell 6500, Nikon Monarc's and Burris Extreme Tatical.
Yes it is for hunting, but also play around just targeting too.
I figured a Tatical Scope would do both worlds to a point to hone my skills.
I would appreciate any and all opinions.
My Dream Scope is actually a Leupold VX-L 6.5-20 X 56 with either a Boone Crockett Big Game Rectile or Varmint Hunter Rectile. M1 Knobs ect.... 1400 give or take for it... Nice but out of price range at this moment.
So now delema is which of the cheaper ones that would be best for now.
Thanks all.

Budget is pretty important. Also, what is the primary purpose for the rifle? hunting? target shooting? what kinda ranges and lighting conditions do you expect to encounter?

Check the game laws concerning hunting times. These are some good scopes for the money. I will include some tacticals as well. Just in case that's what you are truly looking for. Be mindful that a tactical scope will work for hunting use but isn't designed to be hunting use friendly.

You might check eye relief on all those. Sightron has the best. For some people, ER is an issue on .270/30-06 rifles. Nikon and Vortex are next. Mueller is probably the least. I spoke with a Mueller rep sometime back and he said the scope was actually designed for 5.56/.223. Just something to think about. If eye relief is not an issue, then any of those listed above are good, with caution on the Mueller.
