I have a BSA Sweet .22 that has performed wonderfully for me. The information on BSA is inconsistent, but they have a tendency to not hold up well on "heavy" rifles (30-06/7mmMag up). Loss of zero, etc is common. So, it appears quality is an issue. Glass is only so-so/acceptable. However, as you said, they are cheap, which is a relative term. On my Sweet .22, which is a BDC, everything works as advertised. I know people who have them and swear by them, I know people who have had them and curse them. You might get lucky, but personally, I would save for a better optic if other than a .22.

When I see BSA if it isn't the Boy Scouts of America, or the motorcycle, I steer clear.

Food for thought: A single camera lense filter (one piece of glass with threads) can cost more than a BSA scope.

In the long run it's cheaper to buy one good scope for $200-300 than a bunch of BSAs. I had to learn the hard way but now I wouldn't even put them on a 22. They just aren't clear, don't hold up, the adjustments aren't repeatable. But it's your money. The sad thing is there are people that get lucky (any body can screw up and make a good one now and again) and recommend this stuff to others.

You would be better off spending $75 or $100 on a thirty year old used scope that is in excellent shape than wasting money on a Chinese low end scope that costs $69.  Just remember that the freight cost to America was probably $25 of that cost.....what kind of scope can that be??   Whatever

Some of their ideas are good. the quality can't be there at the price. Save for better glass. Gadgets are nice but if you can't see it you can't shoot it.
