I Just purchased this riflescope for my .308 howa 1500 entry rifle. Has anyone else used this scope and what are your thoughts? Thanks

Great scope, but for a 308 ---naah ..Way overscoped ...Something more in the line of a 3x9 up to maybe a 4-12 would have been more appropriate...
6-24 4200 Elite is a super value and a fine scope , but more of a long range target or varmint optic

A 6-24 scoped bolt -ENTRY- gun.  Shoot%20OutWe may have a failure to communicate.

A bolt-action entry gun?  What are you entering?

And a 6-24 scope on an entry gun?

With some luck, you will not be using this gun in CQB applications.

If it will be sued as a .308 should, that scope will be more than enough.  I had the same scope for awhile, liked it for the price.  Mount it on a 10MOA base (I don't know that I would use a 20MOA base as you are close to bottoming out - I was.)

Post pics of the setup, and don't use it for entry.  If you need a hard-hitting entry gun, I'd recommend a SOCOM with Aimpoint or EoTech.

I think the gentleman was referring to a "starter rifle", rather than a CQB, door kicker rifle.

Those .308 Howa's are said to be good shooters.

LOL!  I just bought one was well for my 6mm Ackley, should do well to 1000+ yards with a +20 moa base.

Be careful with the 20MOA base, you might bottom out - and limit your windage adjustment in the process.

It is a good scope for the money.
