Hey guys. I am new to the board. I've been looking around to try to find more information on scopes on other boards. It looks like this place can offer a much larger amount of information.
Anywho. I have a Karl Kahles scope and was wondering how much a used one in good condition would go for. It has a Karl Kahles scope. I'm assuming the model is HELIA S. The power is "2,2 - 9 X 42".
You can see the scope in the following pictures.

I think Tahqua has the same scope. He might have an idea.

It is an older, discontinued model and with the resent sell off of Kahles in huge numbers the prices have dropped. If we had that scope today on our www.Samplelist.com site it would be listed for $499.95 on the low end to $699.95 on the high end...depending on condition and reticle.
That scope has a really narrow field of view until you get to 4x, we always called it a 4-9x42 because it was not really useable below 4x.
Great low light hunting glass, it looks out of place in that photo.

I can't say what they are worth, but Chris is the man and no doubt spot on.
Mine isn't going anywhere. It is one of the best big game scopes I have ever had. It has been on a Remington M700 Custom KS in 7 mag since I bought it. |
