considering the 6500 4.5-30x50(mil-dot) for long range shooting with my 300ultramag. does anyone have any feedback on this scope yet? that power range sounds great.

Nice glass my only thought on this is that you have to use a plus 20moa base ring setup to get out to longer ranges. You can do that with Badger Ordnance bases or by using Burris Signature Rings that have a plastic insert that holds the scope:

You won't get any feedback on this scope because I don't believe that anyone has bought one in the whole country. Google "Bushnell 6500" and see what you get....almost nothing. Just a bunch of retailers offering them for sale. You won't find even one review on any of the optic or shooting forums either. One explaination was that noone wants to spend $600 on a Bushnell. It really baffles me. You would think that as highly acclaimed as the 4200 is that someone would at least be curious about Bushnell's attempt at upgrading what already works.

Koshkin mentioned he had the chance to look one over at the Shot Show and was impressed with it but will not get around to a full test of the optic untill later this year. However bear in mind that Bushnell has made a FULL Cost Refund offer if you decide you dont like it no questions asked.

I did find one review of the 2.5-16x42 version of this scope in the NRA Amercian Hunter magazine. This may be of interest.

I am playing with a 2.5-16x42 right now and I am very impressed. Great scope: good glass, excellent eye relief and incredible versatility.
