well like I wrote, I have a hand gun , also a newly obtained levergun with a straight 4x32, not yet used for hunting . I put a2.5 old,old weaver on it,that looks more at home, but noticed,it didn't seem bright enough , in low light. The nikon works brighter ;Altho, a sacrifice in cheek weld.   And I wasn't suggesting any thing on purpose. any one with a little practice can make good, close shots ;with high end scopes , moving or not ,been doin it for 40 years. Am not trying to get any body fired up,we got all kinds a woods , an i use 10x 50 binoculars in them too ;Heck, if its that thick , what do you need a scope for? I just think, fixed scopes might be a little under rated....xx

No offense implied, XX. Nobodys fired up.
My reaction to your earlier post was in jest.

Where I hunt in NC, the woods are so thick that a 10x FIXED scope would be almost, if not entirely worthless.

The 4x32 scope you mentioned would probably be ideal.

I also have and love my fixed, 10x Super Sniper, so we agree on that as well.

Good shooting and thank you for your commentary, friend.

no offense taken ,haven't been typing very long, skipped it in school.  Guess I use a scope differant ,than most folks.I can't imagine woods too thick . 15x or 20x I haven't tried , they would have to much sencitivety.(spl) close shots with a10x are quick an easy. 4x is about max for a pistole for me 2.5 might as well have open sights.   Ifound this site lookin for info on a Target sports fixed 10x , bought a leapers fixed ,8x when they first showed up. was a bargin. Not much to go wrong on a fixed power . always wished it was 10 x. Almost got a super sniper when they were tasco at first . probabley will yet.......xxmaa out.

I did send it back and the guy gave a full refund. What did I do, I went out and bought an IOR 4-14x50 Tactical Illum.. I'm not home right now (still in turkey) but when my 14yo son unpacked to check for damages, he said now this is a scope. I can hardly wait to get home to my new rifle and scope- no wait, I mean, my wife and kids. That's it, I mean my Loving Wife and darling children.
My Wife always asks: Is this the last gun you are ever going to need? Yes, honey till I feel the need to reach out and touch some thing.
