What rifle/barrel do you have. Most AR rifles are chromed, but not all.

Most chrome lined barrels will be of a military nature, usually looking in the start of the chamber will be a definitive "spray" line where the vapor deposition is initiated. As a side note if you are shooting military surplus especially with steel cases chrome lined barrels are good. The stainless target barrels made today are far better, and last just as long. If you are using hand loads, this is the best way to go.
