Is the 3x9x40 conquest worth 2x the $ as a Bushnell 3200 elite 3x9x40?  I just sold a 3x9x50 3200 elite that was too big for my scabbard (almost 16"), but thought the optics were very good. I use caps on my scopes so the rainguard is a little less of a bonus feature.

I find the bushnell elite's to be very nice scopes and mostlikey the best for the money I have tried myself. I also have two Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40 and for $399 nothing will touch them in my thoughts.I liked them so much I have not bought another leupold since and may not again as long as price is close between the two..

Yes, I think so, but you might like to get some feedback on the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 before you make a purchase.

Love the Conquest.

Hate the plastic turret caps!!!!! Never did understand that.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Trying to out spec the competition in the weight department.

The 3200's are among the finest value scopes around especially with the Rainguard feature. If you were to compare the 4200 series to the Conquests we might have something to talk about. The Conquest is a fantastic scope at any price.

the conquest is FAR superior to the 3200, but about equal with the 4200.
