High performance binoculars and laser rangefinder - in one pair of compact all-round binoculars.

This dual functionality and a low weight of only 900 grams makes the LEICA GEOVID BRF especially useful for hunting. Using the new LEICA GEOVID BRF instead of two separate instruments, the hunter can react more quickly - for example, when sighting game, the distance can be measured immediately at a press of a button. Due to its folding bridge, the LEICA GEOVID BRF is particularly compact. The new binoculars have an illuminated LED display with automatic brightness control which adapts to the ambient light.

Knowing the distance can be very important.
The hunter is interested in the distance to his game, the farmer and the forester want to know the size of a clearing or the farmland, the civil engineer wants to know the distance to the bridge pier or how far the wind power plants are apart, the sailor needs to know the distance to the next turning buoy.

The new LEICA GEOVID BRF binoculars with integrated laser rangefinders are ideally suited for these specialized applications: With the combination of a high-performance binocular with an integrated laser rangefinder and the unequalled compactness, Leica once again proves its leadership in the fields of high-performance optics and advanced laser technology. The sum of its features makes the LEICA GEOVID BRF the ideal helper : It saves precious time and it prevents an excessive burden. Thanks to the high optical performance you always have a good view of your target, even in poor light and over long distances and the intuitive operating ergonomics let you concentrate completely and without distractions on your actual tasks.

Leica Geovid at a glance

  • Observing and rangefinding combined in a high-performance binocular:
It saves the hunter times and cuts down weight, if compared to using two separate devices (binocular and LRF), thus making the hunter faster and more flexible.

  • High optical performance in low-light:
Even the smallest details are easily recognizable, due to high contrast and edge-to-edge sharpness. It is the “all-round" binocular, perfect for any hunting situation.

  • Compact:
As compact as a regular binocular, with central focusing and a center hinge.

  • Robust:
Leica HDCTM-coating, Aluminum housing, soft-touch rubber armor, water proof to 5 meters/16.4 feet.

  • Perfect Ergonomics:
    Perfectly b
alanced for fatigue-free viewing, separate diopter setting for LRF and binocular, removable
    eyecups with two click stops.

Hey Chris, I'm really interested in Leica's new Geovids.  Have you guys had the opportunity to look through them yet?  Do you have any in stock.  I might consider trading in my Swarovski 10x50 SLC's if you guys really like them!

We have not seen a production model yet, we are expecting delivery early August.  If you seriously want one this year, you need to get on our back order list so that one will be allocated to you.  If you like we can call you upon arrival to confirm so this way there is no obligation on your part.  If you want to trade please fill out our trade in form and our trades dept. will get back to you asap.

Chris, have you guys had a chance to look through these yet?

If so how do they compare to the other Leica binoculars, also is the distance measurement only in meters or is it yards?

Optically they look the same as the Ultravid however they do transmit a little less light due to Leica no being able to use the same coatings on the prisms.  The laser does not work well with particular coatings.  The difference is too minor to really notice.

They USA models are in yards.

I am searching for a good pair of rangefinding binos and I heard the Leica Geovid is awesome.   They sure are hard to find though. Is Leica still behind in production? Seems to me they really missed out on a golden oppurtunity by underestimating sales.

What is the warranty on the Geovids?

I have been told that they are covered on a 5 year warranty and the Ultravids have a limited lifetime warranty, is this true?

Yes the warranty on optics with electrical components is usually 5 years at the most.
