There are literally a hundred scopes that would work. Being a 30.30, I would suggest a high quality 4X or a low powered variable, maybe 2-7 max.
Do you have a budget? I believe that is where one of your biggest question lies. Welcome to O.T. Doug |

+2....................A lower powered, 1", straight tubed, lighter, lower profiled variable, from 1x3 up to a 1.5x5 max. is the best application for a 30-30..........Your hunting shots will probably not exceed 200 yards and more than likely, will be within 150 yards on the average............In having a scope that is light and faster aiming, your rifle will remain lighter and faster too.
Weaver V3 1-3x20..............$150
Leupold VX2 1-4x20............$299
" VX3 1.5-5x20.........$399
or similiar!!
2x7`s are ok, but IMO, objective bells on 30-30 levers don`t look as good as the straight tubed, lower profiled scopes!
