FYI, the barreled action is made by Zastava, who made the Interarms Mark X action. I'm sure it's probably a reliable bolt action. I've seen a couple in stores, and they were a little on the rough side, fit- and finish-wise, but they are reasonably priced.

I did not like the fit of the U.S. made stock nor the forend angle similar to the old ADL. The safety was a bit stiff. The price was pretty fair at Dick and Jim's.
The Interarms Mark X was a fine action and Lon Paul used to make some very nice guns from them. Jack Lott had some of Paul's guns done up in the .458 Lott years ago. That says something about the action IMO. Craig Boddington has some experience in Africa with the 798 in .375 H&H. His impressions are very favorable. Remington had a prototype lefty Zastava for him to try. The wood on the prototypes looked a lot better than the laminated production ones. Accuracy was center of mbogo, BTW. |

Oh, the CZ is in another galaxy--quality-wise--compared to the Remington/Zastava....The CZ would beat the pants off of the OLD Mark X/ Whitworth guns. I think the CZ is a real bargain for the quality of the rifle. No contest.

Dang, Hunter, you've changed your mind on what the next rifle you're planning to buy will be at least 5 times in the past 2 months that I recall!

pyro needs to be taking charge and getting rid of that vari- xII on that .300 Mag, first, IMHO
. Maybe that .264 Win Mag, is just too slow compared to the .257 Why?

He!!, bro, as I recall, you were concerned about how badly the 7RUM might kick (this was 2 rifle wishes prior to this one). You got rid of a .300 WSM because of recoil. Now you're considering a .375? For what use?

Don't get me wrong; I'm one who believes you don't have to need a legitimate reason for buying a new rifle. I just think it's funny you're considering a .375 when we've had discussions at length on what your next rifle is likely to be and you were shying away from much milder cartridges than .375 out of concern for recoil. In that case, I personally think going this route would be a mistake, as I don't think you would enjoy shooting it, and probably wouldn't end up shooting it much. Then, you'd probably regret spending money on this when you could have had the .257Wby you were considering instead and you'd end up selling the CZ for a loss. It's hard to figure you out sometimes! I mean... you've changed your mind even during the course of this one thread!!!!

you ought to go to the liquor store with me to buy beer if you think this is bad, maybe the .375 is exactly what i need to fix my recoil issue, flood the system, the .375 isnt going to recoil like the wsm does, the .375 pushes the 300wsm has a sharp fast kick. i dont know why i would need such a big rifle, but really i dont need a .257wby either.

I guarantee the .375 H&H "pushes" way harder than any .300 mag "fast kicks"
