Very interesting!...............It so happens that Meades`s headquarters is or now maybe was in Irvine, Ca. Several months ago, I had heard that Meade (who owns Weaver), just re-newed their building lease for another 5 years at the So. Cal. Irvine site near me. Their warranty headquarters for repair work on the Weaver scopes however is in Atlanta...........Now, I really don`t know what is going on here with Weaver or Meade! Perhaps they had a good recent offer for a takeover or buy out?? Anytime there is a buy out or takeover, sometimes the web sites are shut-down or re-modified........Still, for the bucks, their Classic V series are a great line of scopes!

ATK now owns Weaver optics. ATK also owns Weaver mounts, Federal Ammunition and other companies.

..............With ATK now owning, that`s probably better for Weaver then and those who buy them.

I am glad to to this move, Squeezer. I think that Weaver scopes are just where they belong, a company that is aggressive in the shooting industry. Besides, Weaver mounts and scopes belong together Love

..................Yep! Because later on, I just may get a soooothing "Squeezer Special" in a short, sweet, nice little lever action pea shooter! A 45/70 or a 450 Marlin maybe??Love       Big%20GrinBig%20Grin    Flame%20Thrower............That nice little Weaver V3 1-3x20 will fill that one perfectly!! Or, I could do a low powered Burris or a Leupy scout scope!...............

ATK also builds some very nice rocket motors...sometimes. And satellites. And optics...
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

There are some who do not fear death... for they are more afraid of not really living
