This weekend I went to Stone Mountain in my home state of Georgia. If you’re ever passing thru or looking for a place to take the family this is a nice place. We arrived at 10 am and went straight to the top. It is a 3 ½ mile walk up or you can take an air trolley. There is tons of things to see and do. We took a train ride around the mountain and a paddle boat ride. At night they have a laser show that is unbelievable.  Here is a few pictures I snapped thru out the day. Oh Lee greenwood had a free concert the night we went.

Sounds like you had a great time, Brandon!  I've never been to Stone Mountain, but I've seen it from the air on flights I've taken out of Atlanta.

It is a neat place. We had allot of fun. The kids were wiped out after waling around all day but they had plenty to do. If you ever get the chance to stop in and see it I highly recommend it. It had been 20 years since I went last. This was the first time I walk thru the old plantation witch was neat to see how people lived back then.

Looks the same as always.
I spent the weekend sodding a Disabled vets yard at lake sinclair. I am hurting, that's rough work.

I'm scared to even ask. AH what the hey, What does it mean? It can't possibly be worse than having manure laden top soil under every finger nail you have, and the smell sticking to you so as that a dead carp is aromatic by comparison.

Some of the regional differences are pretty funny.  When I was hunting in New Zealand with a new acquaintance he asked what I did during deer hunt.  Told him I was a dogger - told me not to advertise that in NZ as it denotes someone who makes puppies.

I understand that Stone Mountain is a geological oddity where a huge glob of molten granit came to the earth's surface (can't remember why) and that most of the granit is under the surface. I just love learning stuff about geological wonders. A big granit mountain in the middle of flat land.
Gee cyborg that sucks that you were soddingized on Memorial Day weekend.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Did you ride the trolley?  that was the coolest part of it when I last took my kids there!!

Edited:  forget the question, I just looked at the Pic's again.  You had to be on the trolley to take some of them.
