I just purchased a new Browning Bar longtrac lefty in 30-06 and i'm try to find a good scope at a reasonable price. I only paid $650.00 for the gun don't want to spend more than that on a scope. Im looking at luepold VX-L, Zeiss and bushnell 4200 or 6500 but the warranty is not to good compared to others. Any one have a 4200 or 6500 ?  Any info would be great.

Welcome to The OT!

Check out the "search function" for the scopes your interested in, my friend. MANY, MANY comments on the 4200, Conquest and a few on the new 6500 as well.

Good shooting!!

The 4200 3-9x40 is definitely one of the site favorites.  It is a fantastic scope and at the sale price of $250 at SWFA it is a great deal as well.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I woul like  3x9-14 x 50 mm. I also thought about having a ranging scope for shot out to 500 yards. Like the BDC or Boon & crocket recticals

The 4200 is a great bargain, but if you have the $$, I recommend something a little better.  Conquest is a good way to go, Kahles is also a good choice.

My advice: avoid the Leupold, get the 4200 only if you can't spend more than $300, and get the best scope you can afford. Kahles and Conquest both have good glass, as does 6500 I hear ( though I can't say from personal experience.)  Also, if you can add a few hundred to the budget, consider Swaro AH.

From the Sample List
