I am looking for a new scope in the 3x9x40, $225 tops budget. I have been pursuing the internet and am interested in the following.

Nikon Team Primos (old Monarch UCC)
Pentax Gameseeker or Pioneer
Bushnell Elite 3200
Vortex Diamondback
Burris Fullfield II

From what I have found the Pentax, Vortex, and Burris seem to have a shorter eye relief so I am leaning toward the Nikon right now. Interested in best glass low light scope for the money.

All opinions welcome.

Beg, borrow or steal $25.00 , add that to your $225 and buy the bushnell elite 4200 3-9x40 from riflescopes.com, This is a better scope hands down.  Others will soon chime in with the same suggestion.

What is the difference between the 3200 and the 4200?  Is the quality of glass better?

Yes, the 4200 offers better resolution and is built better.

p.s. go to the top of this page and click on the 4200 scope for the specifics.

Well boys you talked me into it.  I took the plunge and ordered the 4200 this morning.  If it's half as good as you guys claim and I sure I will be happy with it.

Thanks for all the comments.

You will be.  It's hard to beat the 4200 for the price.
