What major event happen the year you were born!?  Here are a few events that happen the year I was born.

 
1978: November 18 - Jonestown incident: In Guyana, Jim Jones leads his Peoples Temple cult in a mass murder-suicide that claims 918 lives in all, 909 of them at Jonestown itself, including over 270 children.
 
1978: October 1 - Vietnam attacks Cambodia.
 
1978: April 7 - U.S. President Jimmy Carter decides to postpone production of the neutron bomb - a weapon which kills people with radiation but leaves buildings relatively intact.

The Avianca Airline flight bound for Quito, Equador crashed , dropped a flaming mass of metal, into a ravine . None of the passengers in the DC-4 ever knew what happened; they died instantly.

     Well dear ... no war stories ... lost a few best friends ... I was no Rambo or John Wayne .  
    I thank God I was a country boy and knew alot about firearms and hunting . Now if you want stories about booze ... bucu women and wild times .... they're another total storyline altogether . It still hurts thinking of some things even after all these years . I've been to the memorial in DC a couple times and yea I salute the wall and tears roll  .
