This guy also suggests that there is not enough eye relief on his Leupold VX III 1-6X32 at 6 power.   Hard to believe.

ACTUALLY,  there IS less eye relief at 6X on that particular scope! That is one of the reasons I like that particular Leupold (  Mouth%20Taped%20Shut  !!!!) !!  Well, there is less eye relief with most scopes at the higher powers as we all know---but FOR A LEUPOLD scope--that is ALMOST getting NORMAL----3.7 inches at 6X!!  In my case,  I have to shove Leupold scopes halfway down the barrel so I can see through them....but that nifty 1.75X6 is a neat scope..I could actually mount it and LEAVE it at 6X and be able to mount it over the bolt somewhere!!Big%20Grin

.....I guess he was talking about mounting it on a 375......well, there are plenty of Leupold scopes out there with eye relief of about a TWO DAY RIDE BY HORSE.

I was looking at the Bushnell 4200 3 x 9, is there that much difference between the 4200 and 3200??  Price is an object, I don't want to spend more than $300 on the scope.
......................Please let us know which scope you wind up with for your 375!! Hopefully, you`ll pick a low powered variable????????????Wink

Is the Leupy VX3 1.5-5x20 going to be worth the money over the Sightron 1.25-5x20 SII Big Sky???

I found a used Leupy VX3 1.5-5x20 on Ebay from a reputable seller for $308 shipped...I went ahead and purchased it.  Leupold QRW base & rings included on the price...

..................I have the same VX3 scope, but new in the German #4 for my 375 Ruger. You got a good deal for $308 shipped. After looking through both, there really is not enough of a noticeable realistic difference between the VX3 and the Big Sky Sightron! It`s like splitting some hairs!...........As a current Leupy owner, a current Nikon Monarch owner, a former 4200 owner and unlike some die-hard Leupold owners, I don`t believe the scope world revolves around Leupold, nor should it!

I did 50 yesterday, wasn't sure how much farther I should go.

.................What scope did you wind up getting?.............Your sight in range depends on what your hunting, the conditions and the bullet your using.

For dangerous game here and in Africa, a hundred yard sight in is good when using the round nosed 300 grainers. I`d go a 200 yard sight in using the lighter 270 gr. and lighter spire points for longer range hunting.
